At Brussels Pride, we want everyone to feel good, free, respected and safe. That's why we're setting up the Safer Pride scheme.
In practical terms, this refers to all the security measures, initiatives and resources deployed throughout the event.
Furthermore, a zone entirely dedicated to the well-being of participants will be set up in a strategic location on place de l'Albertine. This is a space supervised by trained professionals and volunteers, specially set up to provide a sympathetic ear, care and psycho-social support in case of need.
Thanks to the support of Solidaris, the Safer Zone is run by trained professionals and volunteers from Plan SACHA and Modus Vivendi.
Volunteers from the SACHA plan will also be moving around the Pride perimeter, identifiable by their fluorescent purple jackets.
We treat others with respect and courtesy. No form of discrimination, harassment or disrespectful behaviour will be tolerated.
We respect the public spaces in which the event will take place. This includes respect for the rules of cleanliness, responsible waste management and respect for the facilities and equipment provided.
We have a collective duty to comply with the safety instructions laid down and to cooperate with the staff responsible for our safety in order to ensure a safe, festive and working environment for all.
We are also invited to report and denounce any behaviour that could compromise the safety or integrity of the participants.
We respect and promote diversity in all its forms and contribute to the creation of an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
This means respecting cultural, ethnic, social and gender differences and actively combating all forms of discrimination and intolerance.
Those taking part in Pride undertake to respect the Pride charter and the values of visit.brussels and its partners.
In the event of non-compliance with the above charter and values, discriminatory, violent or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated and may be reported to or dealt with by the relevant authorities.
