Unite, time to protect... Our communities

 

  1. Create emergency shelters for LGBTQIA+ individuals facing danger or experiencing homophobic or transphobic violence.
  2. Establish a single emergency hotline for LGBTQIA+ individuals in danger, extreme precarity, or facing homophobic or transphobic violence. Train existing support teams on the specific needs of LGBTQIA+ individuals.
  3. Raise public awareness about the specific discrimination faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals who also experience racism and xenophobia.
  4. Develop an assistance programme for homeless LGBTQIA+ individuals and collaborate with grassroots organisations.
  5. Demand a zero-tolerance policy in sports against homophobia, lesbophobia, biphobia, transphobia, and interphobia, on the field, in the stands, in changing rooms, and beyond.
  6. Call for a moratorium on the exclusion of transgender and intersex women from international women’s sports competitions.
  7. Increase visibility for the lesbian community by supporting dedicated social spaces.
  8. Increase visibility for bisexual and pansexual individuals by formally recognising these orientations and their specific issues while providing dedicated spaces or events in LGBTQIA+ institutions and venues.
  9. Appoint an LGBTQIA+ representative in residential care centres, home assistance services, retirement homes, etc. Establish a viable framework for mental well-being and train all professionals and volunteers working with LGBTQIA+ seniors.
  10. Launch a large-scale study on the living conditions and aging experiences of transgender and non-binary seniors.
